When Mark Kennedy’s infiltration of activists planning to shut down Nottinghamshire’s Ratcliffe on Soar coal fired power station led to the collapse of a trial, the spycops scandal hit national awareness and began the slew of revelations that is still flowing forth.
Nottingham Playhouse have commissioned a play, Any Means Necessary, based on events around the Ratcliffe action. It runs from 5th to 20th February 2016.
Ahead of rehearsals, writer Kefi Chadwick and director Giles Croft take time out to come to Nottingham’s independent Five Leaves bookshop to talk about the play, the politics of this time and the impact it had within Nottingham.
Admission for this event is free and refreshments will be available.
Booking is recommended. please email fiveleaves.bookshopevents@gmail.com or alternatively call in to the shop.
