SUMMARY:Public Inquiry hearing on privacy laws
DESCRIPTION:The public inquiry into Britain’s political secret police inches forward. There wil be a preliminary hearing 10.30am on 31 January 2019 in Court 76 of the Royal Courts of Justice in London. \nThe inquiry will be seeking views on how to comply with privacy laws\, while conducting hearings in as transparent a way as possible. \nIt’s possible that the new GDPR data protection laws that gave everyone a scare last year could end up forcing the release of secret police files to the people mentioned in them. \nA table on the Inquiry website has copies of all publicly available documents that relate to this topic. \nWe don’t trust the police who abused us to redact our files. Everyone should be given access to their complete files so they can see for themselves how they were spied on. \nThere will be a demonstration outside the Rpoyal Courts of Justice from 9.30am. \nIf you can’t be there\, you can follow the hearing on Twitter’s #spycops hashtag. \nShare this:FacebookTwitterTumblrEmailMoreLinkedInRedditPinterestPocketPrint
