SUMMARY:Hearing of the Undercover Policing Inquiry
DESCRIPTION:With ten days’ notice\, there is to be a hearing of the Undercover Policing Inquiry on Friday 18 May 2018. \nIt comes after the Inquiry published its Strategic Review\, which has a revised timetable. \nOriginally scheduled to conclude in 2018\, the Inquiry hasn’t properly begun yet. It now has an ‘ambitious’ target of reporting in December 2023. \nThe hearing on 18 May is to discuss with the state core participants – primarily the police but also other agencies such as the Home Office – about their views on the Review and its new schedule. \nThe hearing will be public and will also enable non-state core participants or affected individuals to attend. \nWe will be protesting outside the Royal Courts of Justice before the hearing\, demanding that they publish the cover names of officers and open the files to those who were spied upon. \n  \nShare this:FacebookTwitterTumblrEmailMoreLinkedInRedditPinterestPocketPrint
